Alexander Robertson Mcginlay born 19 feb 1940 castlemalt Glasgow 1 of 5 children to helena and tom mcginlay. Wife to Sylvia, dad to Ian, Mark, Nicky,Gary,Kelly, Paul,Lee, and Lauren Mcginlay. Grandad to Tammy, Gemma, Arron,Stacey,Kayleigh, Keiren, Chloe,Nicole, Paige, Jade, Mollie,Lucie, Alex, Skye and great grandad to Tammy and Stevens little baby girl Rihanna.
Became poorly in 2003 and after a year long illness of cancer he sadly passed away with dignity and strength.
He was a very strong man with a sense of pride to the very end.
Sadly missed by everyone whom met him, he could make friends with just about anyone he met, especially in the local pub !
He never had a bad word to say about anyone and would give you his last £1 if he could.
he loved life and his family and spent many a day in the backgardens of his familys home with a pint and a paper.
He was a great fan of Only Fools and Horses

Hey Gwandad Alec it's been along time since i sent you a message but i thought you'd mmight want a catchup lol Kaylees moved in with her boyfriend now and is doing great lauren has a boyfriend now and hes a really nice lad called liam 'bit of a ginger though' loool.
Lucie is 6 now shes a right pain in the bum haha and im 21 now lol getting on a bit 50 more years and ill come see you haha.
Nana's getting on well her and lauren are always at eachothers throats they are more like sisters than mother and daughter but they are looking after eachother lol.
Tammys had another little girl called kacie shes a right little porker and a little funny porker at that lol.
Lee and Chantel had another kid aswell meme (leah) she belongs in a padded cell shes a bloody menace haha.
~Zara major sadie and purdy and jago all passed away but you probably know that cos there probably all round you barking around you being mardy along with the escapist baby dog and buster less menace american bulldog we just cant help ourselves with these animals.
Well what else can i say... ive got my own flat now and my mum and dad made it my own lmao everything in theres my mum and dads that theyve gave me haha ive got a boyfriend ive been with him 5 years his names christopher 6 years on laurens birthday hes a pain in the bum but i know you would of approved hes a good lad and dus alot for me.
i wish you were here to see all your grandkids and great grandkids you would of been so proud of us all and how we have all turned out haha keiren coud become the next jamie oliver hes a good cook from what ive heard and little paige is a dancer she performed in a theartre and was brilliant aapparently. ill messege you again grandad when ive got some more news for you.
I miss you sooo much we all do and one day we hope to see you soon.
